Ackley completed his B.S. degree from Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin and attended the graduate school of Counseling and Management at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wisconsin. He has over 30 years of relevant tribal and planning experience, beginning with a position in the Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO).

Ackley is very involved with the Indigenous Planners Network, which promotes cooperation and the sharing of tribal planning information between nations. He is a firm believer that tribal government and planning should be handled by those who are impacted the most- the tribe’s members. |
